Emergency Department Saves Rincon Middle School Student, Ian Rare is the day when a 13-year-old boy is rushed to the hospital in full cardiac arrest. Ian Quiñones, a Rincon Middle School student, collapsed during PE and had no pulse. School staff immediately started CPR, and used an AED defibrillator until paramedics arrived. He was then rushed to the emergency department at Palomar Medical Center in downtown Escondido. Click on the image to the left to see his story.

New York Jets and former San Diego Chargers running back, LaDainian Tomlinson who is a member of the Palomar Health Foundation Honorary Campaign Cabinet and a longtime supporter of Palomar Health, recently visited the construction crew at the new Palomar Medical Center.
