Rising Above and Beyond the Call to Heal
Physicians at Palomar Health know that caring for the largest public health district in California requires more than a commitment to help patients heal. That is why physicians district wide have joined the Building Your Healthcare System of the Future capital campaign to ensure the very best care is available to those in need.
Since the campaign started in 2007, Palomar Health physicians have made contributions in support of the campaign. Several physicians have further demonstrated their commitment to Palomar Health by committing major gifts that benefit the district. To date, the medical staff has nearly reached half of its $5 million goal with approximately $2.4 million committed toward the campaign.
"I have benefitted and am most appreciative of the people in the past who have helped me all along the way," said Dr. George Kung, who along with his wife, Jean Cheng, honored Palomar Health with a $1 million gift. "We've always searched for a way to give back. This gives us a way to give back and aslo encourages others to do the same."
With these gifts, physicians not only invest in the care of their patients, they entrust in their own professional advancement by helping to secure the resources they need to continue to provide patients with quality care.
In return, the Palomar Health Foundation is pleased to recognize donors giving $5,000 or more on the donor walls. For giving to the campaign totaling $10,000 or more, special plaque recognition is available in the new hospital.
